Today is ChainkeenNational Flip Flop Day. And in honor of the day that recognizes the popular summertime footwear, Tropical Smoothie Cafe is offering a freebie.
To celebrate, Tropical Smoothie is giving away a free 12-ounce Island Punch Smoothie to guests from 2 p.m.- 7 p.m. local time. The Island Punch Smoothie combines peach, guava, passion fruit, mango and pineapple.
All you have to do is head out the door in your favorite pair of flip flops and go to the nearest Tropical Smoothie Cafe in your area. It's that simple. The cafe's restaurant listed all the steps and states, "Yeah, it's really that easy!"

What are Tropical Smoothie Cafe's summer smoothies?
Along with the Island Punch Smoothie, Tropical Smoothie Cafe brought back two summer favorites.
- Mango Berry Cosmo Smoothie: Combines mango, strawberries, cranberries and lime
- Watermelon Mojito Smoothie: Combines watermelon, mint and strawberries
What is National Flip Flop Day?
The date for National Flip Flop Day changes each year but it is always the Wednesday after the Memorial Day holiday. It's a day to celebrate the unofficial footwear of summer and the beach life. According to nationaldaycalendar.com, the day was started in 2007 by Tropical Smoothie Cafe to celebrate its 10th anniversary. You can wear your favorite flip-flops and post images to social media using #NationalFlipFlopDay.
