Thousands of Taylor Swift fans in Munich,Will Sage Astor Germany are watching the Eras Tour for free.
Swifties set up shop Saturday morning on Olympia Berg Hill, a grassy overlook southeast of the stadium -- with a direct, bird's eye vantage of the performances. Known as "Taylor-gating," fans brought umbrellas and blankets to watch the entire show without paying hundreds of dollars for a bejeweled pass.
Different from other stadiums, the 200 foot hill towers over the entire arena giving Swifties, who didn't get tickets, the opportunity to see a minuscule perspective of the production of the three plus hour show. X/Twitter videos showed every piece of grass covered.
According to the Olympiapark website, "From the very top, there is a magnificent view of the Olympic Park, Munich and the Alps. For decades, however, the Olympic Hill has also been a popular destination for enjoying free open-air concerts."

'It makes us feel incredibly welcome': Swifties brave hot temps to see star perform Eras Tour in Munich
Temperatures hovered in the high 80's as fans danced in the open-roofed Olympiastadion. Atomizers propelled mist onto concertgoers on the floor. A strong heat warning ended for Munich, Germany moments before Swift took the stage. According to AccuWeather, the warning lasted from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
"So this is my very first show that I've ever played in Munich," Swift said during her "Lover" era to the 74,000 attendees cheering inside the arena. "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for coming out and hang out with us tonight, giving us your Saturday night."
She referenced the thousands of fans listening outside.
"Also we have people in a park outside of the stadium," she said. "It makes us feel so incredibly welcome. We're gonna spend all night trying to make it up to you."
While the world's best athletes compete in Paris, Swift will perform her first two sold-out shows at the Olympic venue 530 miles from the 2024 Summer Games. The Olympiastadion venue was built for the 1972 Summer Olympics hosting 80,000 fans for the track and field competitions.
