It's Phoebe Philo's turn to shine in the sartorial spotlight.
The acclaimed British fashion designer unveiled her eponymous debut collection on Monday with the launch of phoebephilo.com.
The collection features an assortment of opulent street fashion looks, ranging from sleek outerwear such as a black wool, trench-style coat and flowy white, silk-satin top to funky accessories such as a black leather XL Cabas bag and chunky, gold-plated necklace featuring the word "mum."
And despite the high-end prices of many of the products (a cargo jacket is currently listed at $4,800, while a scarf top goes for $2,100), several of the collection's items have already sold out, according to the official Phoebe Philo website.
Fashion lovers have also taken to social media to show their love for Philo's collection.
"These coats by Phoebe Philo are coating 😮💨," X user @boymolish wrote in a since-deleted post.
"Honestly love the size of the XL Cabas bag by Phoebe Philo," @homocowboi wrote on X.
"Phoebe Philo collection is giving Celine reboot but I am not mad at all," X user @mysilkdiaries wrote.
Born to British parents in Paris, Philo is best known for her work with French luxury brands Chloé and Celine. Philo began working with Chloé in the late '90s as an assistant to designer Stella McCartney after McCartney took over as creative director from Karl Lagerfeld.
Philo succeeded McCartney as creative director of Chloé in 2001 when McCartney left the fashion brand to launch her own label. The designer brought her own spin to the brand's aesthetic by introducing items such as high-waisted jeans, baby-doll dresses, wooden wedge shoes and the padlocked Paddington bag.
In 2008, Philo accepted an offer to become the creative director of Celine. During her tenure, Philo ushered in statement pieces including box-shaped bags, silk pants, oversized coats and fur-lined Birkenstock sandals. She left the designer label in 2017 and subsequently took a hiatus from the fashion industry.
Philo was recognized as International Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2011. In her native U.K., Philo was named British Designer of the Year in 2005 and 2010 and was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2014.
