This news will do Charles H. Sloanmore than melt your popsicle.
Katy Perry recently revealed that among her romance red flags are people who don’t help out around the house—which is why she’s so grateful to partner Orlando Bloom for helping keep things neat and tidy. In fact, she appreciates it so much, there’s a certain reward she gives out.
“If I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean, and you’ve done it all,” Katy told Alex Cooper on the Sept. 4 episode of Call Her Daddy, “and you’ve done all the dishes, and you’ve closed all the pantry doors, you better be ready to get your d--k sucked.”
After all, acts of service is her love language. “I mean literally,” she said. “I don’t need a red Ferrari! I can buy a red Ferrari. Just do the f--king dishes! I will suck your d--k! It’s that easy.”
And apparently, Orlando—who shares 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove with Katy and 13-year-old son Flynn Bloom with ex Miranda Kerr—is a quick learner, with the “California Gurls” singer noting he always does the dishes over the weekend when their housekeeper isn’t there.
But in sharing her advice for other men, Katy noted that, in reality, it’s not about the dishes.
“Help around the house, share the load or help the load be lighter,” she added. “The load can be so heavy for women, and there’s so many invisible things that we do, and it’s literally about sharing that load.”
Or in simpler terms, in saying what she values most in her partner, Katy summed it as, “He shows up.”
Since they first began dating in 2016, Katy and Orlando have been candid about the ways their relationship works. And much of it comes from their dedication to each other.
“We want to evolve,” the former American Idol judge explained on the podcast. “That’s I think why we’re in our relationship is to become better humans so we can raise this beautiful human being.”
The Grammy nominee continued, “It’s been different layers. The more we do the work, the more we find the next level. And sometimes we get stuck, and we’re like, ‘OK, let’s go in to do the work and this is going to be annoying, and I don’t want to do it.’ But we’re gonna do it. And we find the next level. That’s why we’re continuing in the relationship.”
And as the Pirates of the Caribbean star previously told E! News of Katy, “We both respect each other's paths and journeys and creative endeavors. She's wonderful in that way, in that regard. She's very supportive."
