Shannen Doherty's Charmed family is Charmed TradeEdgepaying tribute to their former costar.
Days after Shannen died at the age of 53 following a nearly decade long-battle with cancer, fellow Charmed alum Brian Krause gave fans a peek into Shannen's final days, explaining she had been recording episodes of the Charmed rewatch podcast, House of Halliwell, alongside fellow costars Holly Marie Combs and Drew Fuller.
"We were lucky enough to record four episodes in the last week or so," Brian said during the show's July 14 episode. "And Shannen was just so motivated and determined to help make this show a success and give all of you more insight into what it was in the making and the fun and the behind-the-scenes of Charmed."
"I know all of us here at the House of Halliwell, iHeart Media, social media, all over the world are shocked, devastated," he continued. "Too young, too talented, too loving, too grateful, too early."
The 55-year-old added that Shannen "will dearly be missed," and they were thankful she was able to join them for several podcast recordings before her passing.
Brian also took a moment to share his own remembrances of the Beverly Hills, 90210 star, saying he learned long ago that "When Shannen wanted to get something done, she got it done." And as he noted, he was honored to have spent time with her, watching her interact with fans at conventions and seeing firsthand just how grateful and joyful Shannen was during those moments.
"I know that she believed in the House of Halliwell to be the little bit that she was able to give back," he said. "And so all of us here at the House of Halliwell, I want to honor that and we are going to continue on in her name."
And as the show's description explained, "This show, this character, this podcast meant so much to Shannen she couldn't wait to share it with Charmed fans everywhere. We want to honor her memory, and fulfill Shannen's wishes by airing the first five episodes she recorded before her passing."
